A beginner’s quick introduction to watercolor. We will explore color palettes, cover watercolor basics, and explore mark making. In this workshop we will use leaves to explore basic botanical illustration and watercolor techniques. This workshop will cover watercolor basics and show you how to make the most of a simple watercolor set. No experience necessary.

Materials: 

• watercolor set (make sure you have green, yellow, blue, brown, black, and white)

• watercolor brushes – size 4 round recommended

• watercolor paper or block

• paper towel

• pencil with eraser
