Relax into your watercolor practice through repetitive pattern making and controlled breathing. In this workshop we will use color and simple mark making to explore the benefits of using watercolor as meditation. These exercises are useful as both meditation and a solution to "painter's block" or fear/lack of focus. I hope participants will be inspired to jumpstart their daily practice with these simple meditations.
Join Sophie for an evening of color swatching! A well-executed paint swatch is an invaluable tool in your studio. We will practice producing a full spectrum of each color - from most saturated to least - in order to see the hue’s full potential. This is a meditative activity that will help your painting practice.
