A beginner’s quick introduction to watercolor. We will explore color palettes, cover watercolor basics, and explore mark-making. In this workshop we will use petri dishes as a subject to get creative with color and line. We will delve into abstraction while working on a realistic subject. This workshop will cover watercolor basics and show you how to make the most of a simple watercolor set. No experience necessary.
Materials:
watercolor set (any will do, even a Crayola set)
watercolor brushes – size 6 round and size 2 round recommended. We will be painting both large washes as well as fine details
watercolor block – Fluid 6″x8″ is recommended. If you can’t get a watercolor block (which is a pad of paper gummed on multiple sides), please have masking tape available.
